This Slow Cooker brisket is cooked in a simple homemade BBQ sauce until it’s super tender and flavorful. You can enjoy it with some Coleslaw or Macaroni Salad and steamed corn. Or make tasty sliders by piling them onto rolls!
It’s the kind of dish that makes your home smell cosy and inviting, perfect for snuggling on the couch. I hadn’t made beef brisket in ages, but once I learned I could make it in the slow cooker, I fell in love with brisket all over again.

What Can I Serve With Brisket?
You’ve got lots of tasty options! Baked potatoes, peas, coleslaw, roasted veggies, steamed greens, or bread rolls all make great sides for beef brisket.
Why Cook the Beef Twice?
Both steps are important. The slow cooker makes the beef tender and juicy, while grilling gives it a crispy edge. Plus, it helps make the potatoes crispy too.
Does Brisket Need to be Covered in Liquid in the Slow Cooker?
Yes, the meat should be at least partially covered. It doesn’t need to be swimming in broth, but having some liquid is important. For a 3-pound piece of meat, about 2 1/2 cups of liquid should work. Adding a bit of cornstarch to the liquid helps thicken the sauce too.
