Let’s get started!
– 1 pound ground beef – 1 small yellow onion diced – 1 teaspoon Kosher salt to taste – 1 teaspoon ground black pepper to taste – 5 tablespoons unsalted butter – 6 tablespoons flour – 2 cups whole milk – Bread toasted
1. A 12-inch pot should be placed over medium-high heat. 2. Combine the onion and ground beef in a pan. Add kosher salt and black pepper to taste. 3. Cook the meat until it's brown and no longer pink, breaking it up as it goes. Put the meat away after draining it.
4. To cook the meat, heat the pan over medium-low heat and add the butter. 5. Using a whisk, mix the flour into the melted butter until it turns into a paste. 6. Add some bubbles and cook for one minute.
7. The milk should be added slowly while whisking the mixture until it gets thick. Your gravy may need a few minutes to reach the right thickness. 8. Combine the white sauce with the cooked beef and onion.
9. Simply add salt and pepper to your liking. Add more taste by mixing in fresh herbs, garlic powder, or crushed red pepper. 10. Now, Serve and enjoy your over toast Shit on Shingle
