– 8 mint leaves – 1/4- ounce simple syrup – 2 ounces bourbon – Garnish: mint sprig – Garnish: Angostura bitters optional
1. Mix the mint leaves with the simple syrup in a Julep cup or rocks glass. 2. After adding the bourbon, fill the glass all the way to the top with crushed ice. 4. Mix it around until the outside of the cup is frosty.
4. Add more crushed ice on top to make a dome shape. If you want, you can add a mint sprig and a few drops of bitters to the top. 5. Now, Serve and Enjoy your Classic Mint Julep Cocktail!
