Halloween Dirt Cups Recipe
Equipment
- Food processor
- Ziploc bag
- Heavy Object
- Medium-Sized Bowl
- Whisk
- Sharp Knife
- Spoon
- Cups or Bowls
Ingredients
- 1 bag 14oz/305g Oreos
- 1 pkg 3.4oz instant chocolate pudding
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 container 8 oz Cool Whip
- 4 Milano Cookies
- Gummy Worms
- Black writing gel icing
- Edible candy eyes
Instructions
- Using a food processor, grind 12 Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Crush the remaining cookies into smaller pieces using a large Ziploc bag and a heavy object. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the pudding mix and milk. Whisk until dissolved, then refrigerate until set, about 10 minutes.
- Once set, fold in the Cool Whip until mostly mixed, then add the crushed cookies (not the fine crumbs) and gently combine. Chill the mousse for 1-2 hours for best results, or assemble immediately.
- To create tombstones, cut each Milano cookie in half. Use black icing to write “RIP” on each half.
- To assemble, layer 1 tablespoon of Oreo crumbs in the bottom of each cup, followed by one or two scoops of Oreo mousse. Smooth with a spoon, then add another tablespoon of crumbs, more mousse, and a final layer of crumbs on top. Decorate with Milano cookies, gummy worms, and edible eyeballs.
