The Freshman Cook: Valentine Table Top / Day 14 of 14 Days of Valentine's!

Happy Valentine’s Day to you!

Today I have an easy and inexpensive way to transform your table into a festive Valentine’s Day backdrop for your meal.

Although this is a table that can hold 6 and maybe 8,

today it is a table for 2.

I used a lot of things that I have had for a while. I did buy the

red and white burlap ribbon. I bought that at Walmart.

It was right under $4.00 a roll.

I already owned the large candlesticks, and the small ones as well.

I refreshed a couple of candles for about $2.00.

I already owned all of the plates and the heart shaped charger.

The charger came from Michael’s, many years ago.

I am not sure where the large white plate came from.

I think the small white plate with the heart came from Michael’s also.

The white napkins were from my collection of many that I have.

These doves are the oldest thing on the table.

They were a wedding gift over 32 years ago.

I love to decorate table tops for special meals and

everyday family meals. I collect most of the things I use

after a holiday, (on sale) and use them for the next year.

I am thinking about designing a table top around the

conversation heart candies for next year.

No matter how you celebrate Valentine’s Day,

I hope it is the day you want it to be!

Thanks for joining me!
