– 1 pound 450g large shrimp – 3 cloves garlic minced – 2 tablespoons butter – 1 cup mozzarella cheese – 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese – 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes – Salt and black pepper to taste – Fresh parsley chopped – Lemon wedges for serving
1. Preheat your oven to broil setting. 2. In a large skillet or frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. 3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. 5. Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set aside.
6. In the same skillet, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the bottom. 7. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, arranging them in a single layer over the cheese. 8. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp.
9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the shrimp are slightly browned on top. 10. Remove the skillet from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
