1. Set your oven to 350º Fahrenheit. 2. Line a bread pan with parchment paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray. 3. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and set aside.

4. In a medium bowl, combine chopped apples with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Stir until apples are evenly coated. Set aside. 5. In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter and ⅔ cup sugar until the mixture is fluffy.

6. Add eggs and vanilla, and continue beating until smooth. 7. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. 8. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, beating until just combined.

9. Stir in ½ cup milk until the batter is uniform. 10. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bread pan. 11. Layer half of the apples over the batter, followed by half of the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture.

12. Add the remaining batter on top, then layer the rest of the apples and brown sugar mixture. 13. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. 14. Allow the bread to cool for 15 minutes before removing it from the pan.

GLAZE 1. In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon of milk. 2. Gradually add more milk until the glaze reaches your preferred consistency. 3. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread and serve.
