– 8 slices of sandwich bread – 150 g Gouda cheese thinly sliced – 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard – 1 tablespoon mayonnaise – 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs such as chives or parsley – 1 Salt and pepper to taste
1. In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and chopped fresh herbs until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 2. Lay out the slices of sandwich bread on a clean work surface. 3. Spread the mustard mixture evenly onto 4 slices of bread.
4. Place the thinly sliced Gouda cheese on top of the mustard mixture, dividing it evenly among the 4 slices of bread . 5. Top each Gouda-covered slice of bread with the remaining 4 slices of bread to form sandwiches.
6. Use a bread knife to trim off the crusts from each sandwich, if desired. 7. Cut the sandwiches into desired shapes using cookie cutters or a sharp knife.
8. Arrange the Gouda cheese tea sandwiches on a serving platter or plate and serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
