Let’s get started!
– 1 Shaker – 1 Blender – 1 Glass
– 2 oz 60 ml tequila – 1 oz 30 ml triple sec or Cointreau – 1 oz 30 ml freshly squeezed lime juice – Optional: 1/2 oz 15 ml simple syrup or agave nectar (adjust to taste) – Salt for rimming the glass – Lime wedges for garnish – Ice cubes
1. Begin by rimming a cocktail glass with salt. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of salt until evenly coated. 2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, triple sec (or Cointreau), freshly squeezed lime juice.
3. Shake the ingredients vigorously in the shaker for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled. Alternatively, if you prefer a gentler mix, stir the ingredients with a spoon in the shaker until well combined.
4. Strain the Margarita mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. If desired, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass for a decorative touch. 5. Sip and savor your freshly made Margarita, reveling in its bright citrus flavors and tequila kick. Cheers!
