– 1 Blender – 1 Shaker – 1 Glass
– 1 bottle 750 ml red wine – 1/4 cup 50 g granulated sugar, or to taste – 1 orange thinly sliced – 1 lemon thinly sliced – 2 cinnamon sticks – 4 whole cloves – 3 star anise – 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
1. In a large pot or saucepan, combine the red wine, sugar, orange slices, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and black peppercorns. 2. Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
3. Once the wine begins to simmer, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. 4. Ladle the mulled wine into heatproof glasses or mugs, making sure to include some of the fruit and spices in each serving.
5. Serve the mulled wine hot and enjoy its comforting warmth and aromatic flavors.
