– Freshly ground black pepper – 1 Bag frozen butternut squash – 1 tsp Kosher salt – 2 tbsp Olive oil
1. Set your oven to 450°F and place a rack in the lowest position. 2.Put a rimmed baking sheet in the oven to heat.
3. In a medium bowl, separate any clumped pieces of frozen butternut squash. 4. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt and several grinds of black pepper, and toss to coat the squash evenly.
5. Carefully remove the heated baking sheet from the oven and spread the seasoned squash in an even layer on it to ensure it roasts instead of steams. 6. Roast the squash for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring gently halfway through, until the pieces are tender and crispy in spots.
