Mixing biwl
- 10 oz Cooked brisket
- 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
- 2 Brioche or ciabatta buns lightly toasted
Optional but highly recommended toppings:
- 1/4 cup Bread & butter pickles or sweet pickle relish
- 1 cup Slaw
- 1/4 cup Pickled red onions
Start by chopping the cooked brisket while it's still warm. Use all the pieces, including the burnt ends.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the chopped brisket along with the BBQ sauce. Stir well until heated through, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Assemble the sandwiches by placing bread & butter pickles or relish on the bottom bun, followed by the brisket, slaw, and pickled red onions on top. Serve immediately.
- This recipe makes 2 sandwiches, but you can adjust the portions as needed.
- You can use sliced or shredded brisket instead of chopped.
- If using sliced brisket, consider adding BBQ sauce to the buns for extra flavor.
- Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking.
- Serve right away to avoid soggy buns. If you're eating later, keep the components separate and assemble when ready to eat.
