  • 1 tsp food coloring
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Place popcorn in a large bowl, ensuring there is enough space to mix in the candy coating.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, bring sugar, water, and butter to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and continue to boil, stirring continuously, for 3 minutes.
  • Add food coloring and salt to the mixture, then pour over the popcorn, stirring quickly to coat evenly.
  • Spread the coated popcorn on baking sheets lined with wax paper.
  • Allow it to dry for 1-2 hours, or until it's no longer sticky.
  • Store the popcorn in an airtight container at room temperature; it will stay fresh for at least 1-2 weeks.
