- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups cold water
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt directly into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Make three wells in the dry mixture:
Pour oil into the first well,
Vinegar into the second,
Vanilla into the third.
