- 8 cups cubed watermelon from 1 (5-pound) watermelon
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice from 5 to 6 large lemons, to taste
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups sugar to taste
- 4 to 5 cups water to taste

Cube enough watermelon to yield 8 cups (about 1 (5-pound) watermelon).
Blend half of the watermelon cubes until smooth, strain to remove seeds and pulp, and repeat with the remaining cubes.
Juice 5 to 6 large lemons to get about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove pulp and seeds.
In a large pitcher, combine 4 cups of watermelon juice, 4 cups of cold water, 1 cup of lemon juice, and 1 cup of sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Taste and adjust by adding more lemon juice, sugar, or water as desired.
Serve over ice, garnished with mini watermelon wedges, lemon slices, and mint sprigs.
