- ⅔ cup Sour cream you can use full-fat or low-fat
- ⅓ cup Mayonnaise use a good quality one like Sir Kensington's
- 1 cup Cilantro both leaves and stems, packed
- Juice from 1-2 limes
- 2-3 Garlic cloves
- ½ tsp Onion powder
- Salt to taste
Put the sour cream, mayonnaise, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and onion powder in your blender or food processor.
Blend until the mixture is smooth and there are no chunks of garlic. If the sauce is too thick, add a little water to make it thinner.
- Sour Cream: You can use either full-fat or low-fat sour cream. Full-fat will make the sauce richer and creamier. Greek yogurt is a good substitute too.
- Mayonnaise: Choose a high-quality mayonnaise for better flavor.
- Storage: Keep the sauce in a sealed container or jar in the fridge. It will stay good for up to 4 days.
- Cilantro Stems: Use the cilantro stems too! They have lots of flavor.
- Garlic: If raw garlic is too strong for you, roast it in the oven or cook it on the stove to make it milder.
