Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz Smoked Gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1 Package shell pasta
  • ¼ tsp Ground white pepper
  • 2 ½ tbsp Butter
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ cup Milk

Instructions
 

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a casserole dish.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the shell pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until it is tender but still firm to the bite, about 9 minutes.
  • While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  • Whisk in the flour and cook, stirring, until the mixture forms a paste and turns light golden brown, about 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat, cooking and whisking constantly until the sauce is smooth and thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Drain the pasta and place it in a large bowl. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, about 15 minutes.
