Our family adores this Hamburger Salad—it's our go-to for a quick and tasty dinner! It's ready in just 35 minutes, packed with seasoned ground beef, crunchy romaine lettuce, juicy cherry tomatoes, tangy pickles, diced red onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Plus, it's all coated in a delicious burger sauce. It's so simple to make, with just a few steps, making it perfect for those busy evenings. Trust me, it'll soon become a regular on your dinner menu too!

Ingredients
  

For the Salad:

  • 5-6 cups Mixed greens lettuce
  • 1-2 Tomatoes sliced (or use cherry tomatoes)
  • 1/2 small Onion sliced
  • 1 Avocado peeled and sliced
  • 2 Dill pickles sliced
  • 4 Hamburger patties
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese plus extra shredded cheese for topping, if desired

For the Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise or use half mayo and half Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Mustard
  • 2-3 tbsp Ketchup to taste
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2-3 tsp Barbecue sauce to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mix mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and barbecue sauce in a bowl.
  • Put the dressing in the fridge until you need it.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of the hamburger patties.
  • Grill the patties until they are cooked the way you like.
  • Put a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  • Put the mixed greens into 4 bowls.
  • Cut each cheeseburger into small pieces and add them to the bowls.
  • Add sliced tomatoes, onions, avocado, and pickles on top.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad.
  • Mix everything together.
  • Enjoy your salad!

Notes

  • Add crumbled bacon for extra flavor.
  • Top the salad with anything you like on a burger, such as BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, bleu cheese, or jalapenos.
  • Try a different dressing, like ranch, bleu cheese, or thousand island.
  • Serve with French fries or sweet potato fries for a complete “burger” experience.
