Small Pot
- 4 tbsp Butter unsalted, if possible
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 tbsp Hot sauce make sure it's vinegar-based
- Salt just enough to suit your taste
Put the butter in the pot on medium-low heat until it melts.
Once melted, add the honey and hot sauce. Sprinkle in some salt if you like.
Let the mixture simmer gently for about 5 minutes until it gets a little thicker.
Taste it to see if you need to add more seasoning. If yes, go ahead and adjust it, then serve.
- If you don't like things too spicy, just use 1 tbsp of hot sauce or even less, depending on your taste.
- Keep the sauce in a closed container in the fridge, like a glass jar with a lid. It should stay good for about a week.
- I wouldn't recommend freezing this sauce because it might not be the same when you thaw it out.
- If you prefer, you can use salted butter and skip adding extra salt.
