  • ½ cup hot cocoa mix 3 to 4 packets
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup light brown sugar 110g
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 100g
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 large marshmallows cut in half or 36 mini marshmallows

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, hot cocoa mix, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

  • Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using a mixer. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.

  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients on low speed until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Scoop dough into 1½-tablespoon-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
