Sugar Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/2 Cup Sugar Granulated
Margarita
- 1/3 Cup Lime Juice
- 1 Lime
- 2 tbsp Simple Sugar Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Tequila
- Salt
- Ice
Sugar Syrup
Start by combining the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, then bring the mixture to a boil.
Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to a simmer and let it cook for 2 minutes without stirring.
After those 2 minutes are up, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool down to room temperature.
Once it's cooled, transfer it to a glass jar with a lid and refrigerate.
This syrup will stay fresh for up to 3 months in the fridge, so you can use it whenever you need a sweet and tangy boost.
Margarita
First, get your glass ready for the margarita magic.
Take a lime wedge and run it around the rim of the glass to give it a nice, juicy coat.
Then, grab a small plate and sprinkle some salt onto it.
Flip the glass upside down onto the plate, making sure the salt rim is coated evenly. Add some ice to the glass and set it aside for now.
Next, grab your cocktail shaker and add the tequila, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup or agave nectar.
Close the lid and give it a good shake - think 10-20 seconds of vigorous shaking!
Finally, pour the margarita mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with another lime wedge.
Your drink is now ready to be sipped and savored!
