- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 lb tomatoes
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
- 1 package angel hair pasta
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 cloves crushed garlic
Place tomatoes in a large pot and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, then drain and cover with cold water again.
Peel the tomatoes and chop into small pieces.
In another large pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil.
Cook angel hair pasta until al dente, about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan, ensuring it covers the bottom.
Sauté the garlic until it becomes opaque but not browned, then stir in the tomato paste.
