- 1/2 cup very soft, unsalted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Assembing
- Warm pizza sauce
- 8 slices white bread
- 6 z pepperoni
- 12 slices mozzarella cheese
In a medium bowl, combine butter, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
Spread the mixture on one side of each bread slice and place them butter side up on a sheet tray.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and place a slice of bread, butter side down, in the skillet.
Layer with mozzarella, 6 pepperoni slices, another mozzarella slice, 6 more pepperonis, and a final slice of mozzarella.
Top with another bread slice, butter side up, and cover with a lid.
Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
Carefully flip the sandwich, cover again, and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
Repeat with remaining sandwiches and serve immediately with warm pizza sauce for dipping.
