Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds Tenderized cube steak
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 3 1/4 cups Milk divided
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Pat cube steak dry and cut into strips.
  • Mix flour, Cajun seasoning, and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Whisk 3/4 cup milk, eggs, and Worcestershire sauce in another bowl.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Dip steak strips in flour, then egg, then flour again.
  • Fry strips in oil for 1-2 minutes per side until golden.
  • Drain on paper towels and keep warm in the oven.
  • Wipe skillet and return to medium heat.
  • Melt butter and whisk in 1/4 cup seasoned flour until bubbling.
  • Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk until gravy thickens.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Add more milk if too thick.
  • Serve hot steak fingers with warm country gravy for dipping.

  • Crispy Coating: For extra crunch, double-dip the steak strips in the flour and egg mixtures before frying.
