Whipped Topping
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Cake
- 1 cup sour cream
- 15.25 oz vanilla or French vanilla cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup oil
Tres Leche Topping
- ¾ cup half and half
- ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ¾ cup evaporated milk
- ½ lb fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
Whipped Topping
In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Beat on high speed with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
Once the cake has completely cooled, spread the whipped topping evenly over the surface.
Garnish with chopped strawberries.

Tres Leches Topping
While the cake is baking, prepare the tres leches topping.
In a medium bowl, mash the strawberries and sugar together with a fork or potato masher until no large pieces remain.

Bake for 30-34 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
