Teriyaki Noodles:
- 1 lb Noodles like udon, ramen, or lo mein
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil or any neutral oil like corn or canola
- 1/3 cup Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic minced
Toppings:
- Green onions thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds
Cook the Noodles: Follow the instructions on the noodle package, then drain and set them aside.
Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
Sauté the Garlic: Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil, vegetable oil, and the soy sauce mixture along with the minced garlic. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep the garlic from burning.
Toss and Serve: Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss them until they’re fully coated in the sauce. Serve immediately, topped with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Customize Your Noodles: Swap out udon, ramen, or lo mein with your favourite noodles like soba or rice noodles for a different texture.
-
Boost the Flavor: Add a splash of rice vinegar or a pinch of red pepper flakes for a tangy or spicy kick.
-
Add Protein: Stir in cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to make this dish a heartier meal.
