- pinch of salt
- 1 cup whole fat or 2% plain Greek yogurt
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ¼ cup cold heavy cream or whipping cream
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer equipped with the whisk attachment, or use a hand mixer if you prefer.
Start mixing on low speed for about 20 seconds to incorporate the cream into the yogurt.
Gradually increase to the highest speed.
After approximately 2 minutes of whisking, reduce the speed and turn off the mixer.
Using a spatula, quickly mix the yogurt, scraping down the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is well combined.
Resume mixing for an additional 2-3 minutes until soft peaks form when the whisk is lifted.
The peaks should be firm enough to stand but not overly stiff.
