Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • 12-cup muffin tin
  • Ladle

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Gradually whisk in flour until the mixture is frothy and well blended. Set aside.
A large glass bowl on the white marble cooktop shows milk and eggs being whisked together until frothy. Surrounding the bowl are ingredients, including a container of flour, ready to be added next.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of oil to each cup in a 12-cup muffin tin.
A teaspoon of vegetable oil is poured into each cup of a 12-cup muffin tin resting on the white marble cooktop, with oil evenly distributed across all the cups.
  • Place the tin in the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes, until the oil is smoking hot.
The hot muffin tin is removed from the oven and placed on the white marble cooktop. Batter is quickly poured into each cup, about ¼ cup per cup, as the hot oil sizzles.
  • Carefully remove the tin and quickly ladle about ¼ cup of batter into each cup.
The muffin tin is back in the oven with the puddings starting to rise and turn golden brown after 30-35 minutes. The white marble cooktop is visible in the background.
  • Return to the oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the puddings are risen and golden brown. Serve immediately.
