All American Burger

6 ounces Ground Chuck (each burger)

Your choice of Bun

Muenster and American Cheese (1 each)

1 Hot Dog (cut in half)

Ketchup

Mustard

Sweet Pickle Relish

2 pieces of cooked Bacon

Mayo

Lettuce

Onion

Tomato

Bread and Butter Pickle slice

Avocado

This All American Burger is traditional, but with a twist! Fifteen different ingredients make up this burger, and you have probably had every one of them at one time or another. But all together, they taste phenomenal! Start by weighing out the Ground Chuck. Put the meat in a ball on a piece of  wax paper. Fold the wax paper in half  to cover the burger. Use a plate to flatten the burger.
Form the edges to be smooth. Isn’t that pretty?! Turn on your grill to get it hot, and before you put your food on the grill, take a paper towel and pour some vegetable oil on it. Using the paper towel, wipe down all the rungs of the grill. This way your food will not stick to the grill, and it will be easier to turn over. Start cooking the burgers on your grill. Don’t forget  to have a water bottle handy for flare ups. I like to cook my burgers low and slow. Low heat and slow cookin’. I just think they taste better that way, but any way you cook them, they are going to be tasty! As the burgers near your desired temperature, add your cheese. Cut your hot dog in half lengthwise and add to the grill. It looks like everything is done! Place your hotdogs on top of the cheese.
While we were building this, we decided to go with extra hot dog on the burger! Start with ketchup, mustard  and sweet pickle relish on the bottom of the bun. Add the burger and hot dog. Cut your 2 pieces of bacon in half, and criss cross them over the dog. On the top bun start with some ketchup and mayo. Top it with your lettuce, onion, bread and butter pickle slice tomato and avocado. Dig In! Enjoy your burger as we celebrate the start of summer 2014

and as we honor our soldiers on Memorial Day!
