The Freshman Cook: Baked Valentine Popcorn/Day 6 of 14 Days of Valentine's!

Today’s Valentine Day treat is easy to bake and it makes a great gift!

It would be so special to give a tin of  this popcorn along with a gift of a favorite movie! That would be a fun and cozy Valentine’s Day! You could also change the M and M’s to match your teams colors and munch on this while watching your favorite basketball teams! There are lots of ways to customize this yummy popcorn!

6 quarts Popped Popcorn microwave

1 1/2 cups unsalted Dry Roasted Peanuts

1/2 cup Butter

1/2 cup Light Molasses

1/2 cup Honey
M and M’s Valentine Colors

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pop your popcorn, and let it cool. Take out any unpopped kernels. Add peanuts to bowl. Melt butter over low heat. Add molasses and honey, increase heat to high, and cook until bubbles begin to form. Pour syrup over the bowl of popped corn. Spread your popcorn on to a baking sheet. Bake for 7-8 minutes. Let cool slightly, then mix in  M and M’s. Cool completely.
