The Freshman Cook: Cheese and Pear Waffle Appetizer/#WaffleWeek2015

As part of Waffle Week 2015, I made a fun and tasty Cheese and Pear Waffle Appetizer. I started off with homemade waffle sticks, cut them in half, added a slice of pear, some mascarpone cheese, and a drizzle of chocolate. They are tasty, pretty and so easy. Great for fall parties!
Cheese and Pear Waffle Appetizer

 1 3/4 cup Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
2 Eggs
1 3/4 cup Milk
1/2 cup Cooking Oil
Mascarpone Cheese
1 Bartlett Pear
1/4 cup Milk Chocolate
2-3 tablespoons Milk  Mix the first four ingredients together. Be careful to not over mix. There should be some lumps. Use a waffle maker or a waffle stick maker according to the directions on them.
Place your Mascarpone cheese in a pastry bag with a decorative tip.
Cut the pear into a small slice to fit half of the stick.
Cut the waffle sticks in half.
Melt the chocolate and the milk together in the microwave.
Build each appetizer by placing the pear on the waffle stick, top with cheese and drizzle with the melted chocolate.
