  • 2 Cloves garlic, pricked with a fork
  • ½ cup Bacon drippings
  • ½ lb Bacon strips
  • 1 Whole chipotle pepper
  • ¼ lb Chorizo sausage, crumbled
  • 1 Large onion, finely chopped
  • 5 Cans pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ lb Cooked ham, diced

Instructions
 

  • Cook bacon strips in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  • Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels.
  • Save 1/2 cup of the bacon drippings.
  • Transfer the drippings to a large pot and heat over medium.
