Easy Tzatziki Sauce Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Fine mesh strainer
- 1 Measuring Spoons
- 1 Measuring Cups
- 1 Mixing bowl
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Knife
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cucumber unpeeled and seeded
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/2 Tablespoon white balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dill minced fresh, or freeze dried
- Pinch freshly ground black pepper.
Instructions
- Peel and shred the cucumber using a large cheese grater. Make sure to remove the seeds from the ordinary cucumber before grating.
- Squeeze as much water as possible from the grated cucumber using a kitchen towel or paper towels to keep the tzatziki sauce from being too thin.
- Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, fresh herbs, and salt and pepper should all be combined in a medium-sized bowl. Store refrigerated until you’re ready to serve!
Notes
- A substantial 2 cups of sauce (or up to 32 tablespoons) can be made with this recipe. One tablespoon serves as the basis for serving size.
- The source of this recipe is Yogurt Culture. This is my shortened version, tailored to a smaller family.
- This is a highly garlicky dip; feel free to add extra garlic as needed after starting with less.
