How to Keep Funeral Sandwiches from Getting Soggy?
Wrap your sandwich in waxed or parchment paper to prevent it from getting wet while being stored. If you want to keep loose ingredients together, you can also tightly wrap the sandwich with plastic wrap. Use tin foil rather than parchment paper when packing a hot sandwich so you can reheat it in the oven afterward.
Can Sandwiches Be Kept Overnight?
The plastic bag should prevent the bread from drying out too much, even if it may seem drier than it was. You might want to take out any extremely moist components from the sandwich, like pickles or tomatoes, before storing it. They can cause some of the bread to get soggy.
