I’ve always enjoyed chicken salad, but the usual recipe can be heavy on the mayo and light on nutrition. That’s why I was excited to come up with a version that swaps mayo for Greek yogurt. It gives a creamy texture and adds extra protein, too.
And guess what? It’s so easy to make! Just cook and shred your chicken, chop some veggies, mix in the Greek yogurt and seasonings, and you’re good to go!
This chicken salad is perfect for meal prep. You can make it ahead and store it in the fridge for a few days. If you’re into meal prepping, then this recipe is definitely for you!

How Long Will the Chicken Salad Last in the Fridge?
This chicken salad will keep well in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Just give it a stir before serving to redistribute the dressing.
Can I Use Regular Yogurt Instead of Greek Yogurt?
Yes, you can, but Greek yogurt tends to be thicker and creamier, which works best for this recipe. If you use regular yogurt, you may want to strain it through cheesecloth to remove excess moisture.
Can I Use Canned Chicken Instead of Cooking It Myself?
Absolutely! Canned chicken can be a convenient alternative. Just make sure to drain it well before adding it to the salad.
