Variations You Are Good to Go With!

This homemade pico de gallo recipe is a great base for creating your own fresh salsas! Feel free to get creative with these simple ideas:

  • Switch the fruit: Try using diced mango, pineapple, watermelon, peaches, or strawberries instead of tomatoes.
  • Add extra crunch: Mix in diced red bell pepper or fresh corn kernels.
  • Kick up the spice: Add a pinch of coriander or ground cumin for extra flavor.
  • Make it creamy: Toss in avocado or black beans for a richer texture.
  • Use what’s available: Out of white onion? Swap it with red onion or scallions. No jalapeño? Serrano peppers work too.
