Roasted Broccoli Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Baking Sheets
- 1 Enamelware Sheet Pan
- 1 Parchment Paper
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Oven
- 1 Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds broccoli cut into florets.
- 3 garlic cloves minced.
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Juice from half a lemon of about 1 tablespoon
- Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Turn the oven on to 450ยฐF.
- First, prepare some dry, clean broccoli by chopping it into tiny, bite-sized pieces. Combine the broccoli and oil on a baking sheet, tossing the broccoli with your hands to coat both sides. Layer the broccoli one at a time.
- Add a generous amount of salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Bake until the stems are soft, 12 to 20 minutes.
- Serve right away and savor.
Notes
- Broccoli stems can also be roasted; however, before roasting, remove the fibrous outer layer with a vegetable peeler to prevent the stem from becoming too rough to eat.
- You can add extra taste to your garnishes. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice (plus points for adding lemon zest, too) or a drizzle of thick balsamic vinegar or reduction are my favorite ways to end broccoli.
